Reflection

1. How did Google Earth, Google Maps, and Blogger help you learn about your country?

Answer: It helped me see places like major landmarks and learn about them and if they are famous places.

2. How did you find information about your country using the Internet? What sites did you use to help you?

Answer: We used only google.com and it lead us to sites about Canada.

3. Do you think your presentation inspired others to learn more about your country? And, why?

Answer: Maybe because we told them about almost some of the most famous landmarks in Canada and they might want to learn more about it then we just said.

4. How can you use the tools you learned in the future when planning a trip abroad?

Answer: I will probably know some of the places when we go there and what cultures, food and more about Canada.

5. What specifically helped you learn the most about your country? And, what was the most interesting thing you learned or gained from the experience?

Answer: The internet, reading books, and my friends helped me learn a lot about Canada. The most interesting thing I learned is about how people will go down Niagra Falls in barrels and some think it's fun or just a show.

Racism
Article from google
of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights stipulates that “States Parties undertake to guarantee that the rights enunciated in the present Covenant will be exercised without discrimination of any kind as to race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status”. The draft general comment says that the principles of non-discrimination and equality are recognized throughout the Covenant. It also notes that non-discrimination and equality are fundamental components of international human rights law and relevant to the enjoyment and exercise of economic, social and cultural rights.

1)(In my words) This Artical states that nomatter what color of skin you are you should allways have the same amount of rights that someone a different color then you would.  That right was settled along time ago but is still going on today.  Racism is a very horrible issue in all states.  It separates our people from people with different colored skin.  It has improved but people still think that just because they are a different color then someone else they think that they have more rights and are better then that person.  All-in-All racism is horrible and should stop immediately.

2)
Canada's economy will shrink sharply next year: Scotiabank
The Canadian economy will contract by nearly a full percentage point next year, sending the unemployment rate back up to a half-decade high of 7.5 per cent, a Canadian bank says in one of the most pessimistic forecasts for Canada's economy to date.

2) (In My Words)  I think that the canadian economy should try to encourage banks to sponsor businesses that are closing.  Then jobs will not be lost and then the unemployment rate will go down helping the economy of canada.

3)
Ont. woman 'fine' after Mumbai ordeal

A Canadian woman freed from a Mumbai hotel said she was "fine" and on her way to the airport after Indian commandos seized the building from armed Islamic terrorists Friday.

Alison Nankivell was among five Canadians freed from the Oberoi-Trident Hotel after it had been stormed by terrorists 36 hours earlier as part of co-ordinated and bloody attacks against several targets in India's financial capital that left more than 130 dead, including one Canadian.

3) (In my Words)  I think that Canada should put more security around and in populated areas such as hotels to prevent terrorist attacks such as this one.  Adding security would secure hotels from terrorist attacks and also make the hotels security level go up to show and tell the visitors who are staying at the hotel that they are safe there and will not be harmed.

Torronto, Canada

I think I would eat like fish and things that i eat here in San Diego. I might live in an environment of a forest or a city. I would wear a thick jacket and shoes and pants when it's cold and on summer time I would wear any pants, sweater, and regular shoes probably.
